As well as the low price, another reason to like faux suede slipcovers is that they're machine washable.  Just be sure to use the cold water cycle and a gentle spin setting.  They're actually made from 100% polyester and can be tumble dried on a low heat too.  This fabric keeps its shape well so there's no need to try to iron it.
